bike carbs.

Thanks for all the enquiries. As so many of you are interested I thought I'd better post up here ( as I have been sat here for an hour and only replied to 6 people!!)

Carb kit/manifolds are ready to order I will post some pictures along with our findings up here tomorrow ( when I find out how to post pictures!)

The kits will retail at £299 inc.

Comprising of 4 x carbs cleaned and jetted for your engine ( to include pinto/zetec/duratec) in standard and stage 3 tune.

Hose/clips and st/st manifold will be included with vacuum take offs on either end to suit all installations.

In short bolt on and ready to run.

We have been getting 165 bhp at the wheels on our pinto engine and smooth accleration from idle ( even as low as 8/900 rpm) with no flat spots!

Which was unattainable with the 45's

Till tomorrow!

What was the spec of your Pinto?

What type of carbs are they?

Are they guaranteed to run 'out of the box'?

How's about an option for a Vx 16v XE ?
Might be cheaper for me than throttle bodies and megasquirt...

There seems to be more interest in the engine than the carbs!

We can build these engines to spec. also zetecs. Anyone wishing to talk "engine" talk should email me at roger@shinybitz.co.uk

As for the carbs yes they will run out of the box, all you need to do is supply us information as to the state of tune of your engine. Of course we could consider options for the vx engine. Manifolds can be made to suit any vehicle. We haven't done any jetting for vx's yet tho.

As for the pinto well it eats cossy's for breakfast at santa pod. The only problem we have is traction and are currenty working on "grafting" a sierra back end into the car with lsd
which should cure it.

It could be an idea to sell laser cut inlet plates out of mild steel for popular engine choices or to inlet gasket pattern,so people can fit any carbs and make the tubular runners to suit themselves.

Thanks for the comments but we already do this service. we also supply ready made manifolds in high quality materials for those who would rather purchase a professionally made product.
