Getrag 221 gear shifter linkage (aj30/duratec)
Anyone got any photos of the gear linkage as it would work in the s type?
Having bought a pile of parts I'm not entirely clear what the linkage should look like and struggling to find much online which leaves me
wondering how to go about making a gear shifter for the stylus it's fitting in.
Just test fitting the engine at the moment but before I finalise my engine mounts I'd like to have some confidence I'm going to be able to
sort out the gear stick suitably too!
Photos of working linkage as for the original car or if you've used this gearbox in your kit a photo of your mechanism should be sufficient.
Thanks

The Getrag 221 looks related to the Ford mt75. It would be worth looking at pictures of the Westfield and Gbs offerings for that box.
This is what I put to gether for mine.

I used the standard gear change, I had to shorten it by around 100mm, but this is very easy to do

Thank you both, those photos are really helpful.
I may not rush to make anything until other parts of the car and my seating position are finalised but I think it's going to be much easier to
visualise how everything needs to fit together when I get out for another look at the car.
Your other threads are very helpful in other respects too!

I have fitted this to my TVR and needed to shorten the linkage - very easy to do
I'm totally unsure how to upload photos from my hard drive.
