Zetec, Haynes Header Tank
Hi guys,
I am in the middle of my Haynes 2.0l Zetec build
What coolant expansion / header tanks have you used?
What size would you go for and any particular OEM.car ones that are good?
Many thanks!!!!

Hi,
Yeah that looks good. Guess all I would need to do is t the two bleed pipes, one from thermostat housing, other from radiator top, together just at
the single entry to the expansion bottle?

Most of them have two outlets, one at the top and one at the bottom.

Bottom outlet tee’d in to bottom hose on the rad and then the bleeds in to the top outlet

Hi,
That's the ones I spotted. Bottom outlet to bottom hose, t top outlet to the two bleed pipes and should be good

The other one a lot of people use is the round header tanks fitted to most vw’s, mounting isn’t quite as easy.

I used the Renault tank, very cheap new eBay Item
No problem with the 3litre V6, and works if it is lower than the rad top.
