Zetec Alternator Bracket
My Silvertop alternator bracket has snapped again. I believe it to be a Ginetta made thing that weigh's more than the moon. Ive welded it twice
and others have tried beforehand. appears to snap in 4 different places.
Anyone tried one of these?

Silly question but.. do you have a spacer crush tube between the lugs?

Interesting, although both my lug's had independent bolts not one long single.
Lug's still failed.
Will knock up a tube later
Thanks

I think the best answer is to fit a tensioner..
When you rev an engine you can see the tensioner moving on a cam belt keeping correct tension..
Got to be similar on your alternator pulley preventing constant tugging on alternator brackets..
Has anyone figured out and fitted a generic aftermarket tensioner to fit on a 2.0 Blacktop?
I have a solid idler pulley adjuster - i will make a locost tensioner at some point..
