zx12r egr mod

anyone blanked off their egr off on their Kawasaki zx12r engine?

had any troubles?

I'm pretty sure the ZX12R doesn't have any kind of exhaust gas recirculation, do you mean the secondary air injection (also known as PAIR, though this is Suzuki's acronym for their own system)? Secondary air injection is the opposite of EGR, i.e. it injects air into the exhaust rather than exhaust gas into the inlet air.

Blanking off the PAIR valves is a very common mod, usually to prevent popping on the overrun when an after-market exhaust is fitted. You also need to blank them if you fit an oxygen sensor into the exhaust. Blanking them will not affect the fuel mapping, and won't give any measurable change in power.

I don't know much about these engines only just bought one for my car, I was looking at bike adverts and they called it a egr mod.
Yes the two bits on the rocker cover

yeah blank them off, you have to really to tune it if your running a power commander or it gives false readings on the AFR as its for emisisions really thats what its for,
