Cleaning exhaust ports
Hi guys,
Hope you are all well? It's been a while since I've posted but I'm finally back In the garage. I just have a quick question
regarding exhaust port cleaning, has anyone found a way of cleaning all the black soot/crap on the inside of the port, I need to port the exhaust
ports but I know that all my grinding stones will clog up with the amount of soot in there
It feels good to be back!

Retire the grinding stones, spend £15 on decent burrs to move the material then some little rotary sanding wheels to tidy up.

Your not going to fiddle with that 'work of art' cylinder head by John Yeomans are you mate ? 
OR are you just thinking of matching the exhaust ports to the exhaust manifold you have ?

Pinto's are all cast steel so you can just use dremel sanding tubes and wire brushes to remove it

Hey perksy,
I have upgraded from 42mm and had some 46mm inlets put in! I am blending the inlets back in and just tidying up the exhaust ports as they
haven't been touched.
If you thought the old head was good, you wait until you see the new one!

Description
Small wire brush in one of those cheap mini drills does the job . Leave the valves in to protect the valve seats when doing the combustion chamber.
