struggling to find radiator...help please.
The rad on my mk indy has given up. It looks like the original from mk so guessing its a mk1 escort rad but believe it has been modified as it has no
filler neck (using header tank setup) and has a 8mm bleed at the top.
Ive been looking at the polo rads that a lot of people seem to use but i'm unsure if it has a bleed return??
Can anyone suggest a suitable rad that doesn't have a filler neck but has a bleed return at the top of the rad??
Thanks for any help.

go talk to your local radiator place
mine made me a new rad, without filler, and with in an out pipes in different places
wasnt expensive
I'd love to give my imaginary friend a great big hug,
but this jacket makes it impossible.

Any decent rad repair shop can recore or repair any brass radiator although you might have a hunt finding a radiator specialist these days but they
do still exist.
You might however be a lot cheaper fitting a Polo rad.

I got my bluebirds radiator rebuilt by a commercial firm in Aberdeen who do everything from truck rads to factory heat exchangers. Couldn't get
an orginal replacement as it is an automatic car. They rebuit it for the same price as a manual rad from autosave and it's just like new

Polo rad has a bleed at the top. £30 off eBay. NO point repairing old one

Oh really, that's helpful to know. Doesn't seem to show that detail on any that I looked at.
If that's the case then a polo rad will be just fine, and at that price definitely not worth repairing the old one.
