Alternative radiators?
I'm using a Polo radiator at the moment in my MK Indy. I'd like to move the radiator down a few inches but the lower outlet will foul the
chassis (as demonstrated in the below diagram with dramatic red lines)
Are there any rads that can get around this? e.g. central/offset outlet, different shaped radiator?

an early escort one I believe MK can supply them I have one fitted no cooling problems on a Silvertop Zetec

This is what I originally had fitted to my MK which would have come with the kit.

I found the early escort rad, a real pita as the bottom hose is too close the steering box/shafts
i now have a polo rad, that is slanted at about 15% to get in the available space, and allows the nosecone to fit

no problems with the escort rad just enough clearance between the bottom hose and chasis rail

A little off the wall but a Hyundai Excel rad fits my locost very well, outlets work well with my toyota 4age.

I used a Clio rad, fits really well, the bottom hose is at a nice angle.

I've used a Seat Leon radiator, slightly bigger than Polo and has a thicker core.
the rad is angled by 15 degrees or so but fits very sung under the nose
Duratec Engine is fitted, MS2 Extra V3 is assembled and tested, engine running, car now built. IVA passed 26/02/2016

Hi Steve. Since I've just bought a Polo rad, and will be installing, (after some additional IVA-directed fettling), am very interested in your
mounting method.
But I gotta ask - 15% or 15 degrees? And if so, relative to those front upright-ish chassis rails? They are not vertical, on my chassis. I'm
guessing that this mounting angle takes the lower inlet away from the potential foul point, as in Benzine's diagram.
Ah! Just read big-vee-twin's post, immediately preceeding mine. Seems to answer the question.
