New repackable silencer leaks
Just fitted a new repackable silencer and it leaks slightly at both ends of the can between the bolts, will this seal after running in?.. if not, what
is the recommended fix?
Exhaust leak

Silicone sealant. Yes, it will stand the temp (clear is best for temp stability). Exhaust sealant can break up and come out so silicone is better.

Thanks for the tip, guessing taking it apart is the best way to fit the sealant rather than trying to squeeze it in?

If you find your local Plumb Centre, they can supply high temperature silicone sealant.
We use it to seal stainless flues on industrial heaters and boilers.
