Fuel Problem

Had my Aries Locoblade on the road for about a week, unfortunatley it broke down the other night which we found the problem was a blocked fuel filter.

It was blocked with what looks like gel, replaced the filter and all seemed fine, until today after a couple of miles returned home checked the filter and again there is a type of gel coming out of the filter (see photo).

So again have replaced the filter, but what is this gel and how has it got in the new fuel tank?

After we broke down first we filled the tank thinking it was out of fuel so if I need to drain the tank there's a lot of fuel to remove.

id imagine you have a hose somewhere that isnt suitable for petrol, and its breaking down. The next step is a fuel leak, so be careful!

Is there any water in the tank, there's allsorts of nasties that live/breed in the fuel/water layer interface.

Only Sealer used on tank was RTV to seal the sender unit in, put the amount in the filters is 5 times the amount I used for that job.
