Twin Dellortos Airbox
Has anyone made a DIY twin 40's airbox or have any info or pics??
I got twin dellortos with not a lot of room ...
I dont feel like forking out £100+ for foam & backingplate ..
It dos'nt feel very locost ...

I have seen other airboxes (from old cars, dolomite sprint/TR7 was popular) with a new bit of steel/ali welded/pop riveted over the original carb
mounting face and then new holes cut to match the weber/dellorto whatever.
Alternatively a pair of K+N's are very effective filtration.

How about an ali back plate and use a ford air element for about £5 with a front ali plate sandwich - got a big K&N filter Locost Style ? Also
colour matches car!!

Get trumpets on there, even if they are the very small ones, makes all the difference!

I bought a foam filter element from Halfords and cut it in half to make two.
Some off cuts of sheet, and the mesh off the back of an electric cooker.
These are 45's btw.

John - Sorry to go OT but the water pipe between your carbs where does this go? only ours comes off the T on the water pump and yours appears blanked
off.
