Pinto stupid question number 2
I am looking for somewhere for the adjusting bracket for my alternator and these look favorite. I cannot remember taking anything out of them (they
can't just be spare can they?). Possible cambelt cover?

Try the lug below on the water pump and the bolt holes on the side of the block just above the sump. Rusty

Looks like you have already used them to bolt on that angle iron frame work, the top adjustor stay normaly bolts onto the threaded lug on the water
pump. Rusty

The two bolt holes are spare Mark. They are covered by the engine hanger fastened to the manifold bolts till you take it off. You could use a longer
bolt in the thermostat housing to mount it to or fit a stud and use nuts instead. They would be more in line with your bracket

yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
