ZX9 carbs. How do i tell which i have?
I dont know how many types there are but im trying to get the part with the intake trumpets on to fit mine but i dont want to buy and then get stuck
with the wrong ones. Can any one help?

fookin nightmare!
We had this, bought a set of ZX9's, came without the top plate. Bought about 3 different ones before giving in and adapting an incorrect one to
fit. Seems to be so many variations of airbox/trumpets etc.

the 'E' model ones arn't to bad to get right, but they are totaly different from any of the other ones (keinin CVR's not
CVK's)

They were supplied by Bogg Bros but i dont suppose that makes a difference. they do look like the pics. I'll get the camera out and be back

Have taken a few pics but cant upload them. Keeps saying unsupported file? They have CVR, Keihin and G537 ANJU one end and the float diaphragm caps
have 899 1 on them. Any of that help?
On closer inspection they look very much like the pic's Mcerd has posted.

well they definatly look like ZX9R model 'E' carbs, and those are defanitly R1 trumpets (I had a set at one point)
not sure how to 2 have been made to fit though.....
these are the kind that would have been on the bike,
but as you can see they need the backplate from the airbox to mount them
i.e this bit:
which mounts easily to the carbs using the rubbers that come with it
(the plan is to cut a large hole in the filter backplate and bond/bolt it to the bikes one)

The bottom photo are zx9/E trumpets
Snap the top ones are yours the bottom ones are mine
Both zx9r / E carbs the only difference is mine are imports

Lovely thanks guys. Do either of you know which weber jets i get for them? it was suggested that OEM ones would be cheaper but my local dealer wants
nearly £6 each!

if you cant/wont drill them go to a small independent bike shop as i get mine for £2 each.ps i fitted zzr600 trumpets to my zx9 carbs
