Now I am happy!

At last I have eventually got the thing running and boy is it good, even if I say so myself!
So far it has lived up to all my expectations and is doing all that I initially set out to do. After moding virtually every system on the car, from the starter motor position on the bellhousing to a complete rewire of all circuits other than the engine management. It started when I asked it to and only had 2 slight weeps from the radiator hoses (old ones which needed tightening.
The gearbox and drive train seems to work well as I drove it up and down my drive although it is hard to stop the wheels spinning on gravel!
Here is a photo taken today. Be here soon

Congratulations!!
I just copped a look at your photos, Nick.
That's a good looking car.

What an excellent looking engine installation too. Couldn't get much more in that engine bay could you?

You've been busy!

It was quite a squeeze, but after I widened the nosecone by 4 inches and raised it by 2 it just fits. Although I still have to make a bonnet which should only have one small bulge in it to clear the coil and HT lead. I had to wait till the engine installation was complete to ensure there were no additional problems. The car comes in at 600kg as it stands with no trim (using bathroom scales only so could be a few percent out on the figure).
I was surprised how quiet it was as the pipe is only bits of old exhaust welded up and no silencing at all. I now have a long list of things to do for completition but all I want to do is drive it up and down the drive and not work on it, like a kid a Christmas really.
