Coolant Hoses
I am trying to sort the cooling for my 2l Pinto. Can't remember which radiator it is but I am trying to adapt what hoses I have already.
The hose from the top of the radiator to the thermostat housing fits reasonably well with a slight kink as it comes off the housing which narrows it
slightly, I am assuming it won't cause an issue?
The other end is quite a lot larger ID than the OD of the radiator top hose so I have put a 1" long piece of coolant hose on the outlet, then
the hose from the thermostat housing fits over that, it is quite snug, but my question there is will it be OK once I've clamped it down with a
jubilee clip?
Also, I need to convert a 20mm (or 24mm if need be – I have a choice) to 32mm. I would need something like a 90deg bend with the ‘fat’ end being
around 50mm to the bend and 150mm from the bend to the other end.
Anyone got any ideas/suggestions please?
Cheers,
JB

Probably needed to explain myself better. The adaptor I need is to connect 2 pieces of hose rather than adapt one connector to another with a stepped
hose. My problem is that it's an awkward run from the pump outlet down and across to the radiator bottom connection.
Here's a piccy if it helps:
Hoses
The hoses behind the pulley is the larger one. The other one parallel with the steering rack will have the upturn cut off.
