I fitted the black version to my car to start with, howver you won't want to be driving at night with them.

Also failed (sva) and having looked at the beam pattern (or lack of) you could even struggle with IVA will entirely depend on your tester.

I have a set in black, slightly scratched but worth a repaint. if your interested u2u.

I can (just!) match that price for brand new units. If you want all the info on getting the correct beam pattern it's all on my website www.furorecars.co.uk - go to the pics & info page about 2/3 of the way down after all the brake pipe info.
I passed SVA with these lights & they will pass IVA.
Re their nighttime ability, they are perfectly adequate unless you have something wrong with your wiring, an incorrectly fitted bulb, or are planning on going rallying! If you want lots of light fit a pair of projectors

but be prepared to have deep pockets!

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1
