in case you were wondering ....
... about which of the 3 options for plumbing my headere tank that I posted earlier I had gone for, well the wait is over, It is this one.
Not decided if I want to run a long aluminium tube between tank and radiator to save weight and thus reduce strain on the radiator rail or use hose,
like in photo, hmmmm........

are you running a temp sender that normally earths by touching the block?
If you are then that remote inline temp sender won't work.
I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!

I think that that fitting has got a hole in the top left corner for attaching an earthing cable if necessary.

yes - the adapter for want of a better word - has a small tapped hole, no doubt for earting poiposes .... but that is neither here nor there since I
will be fitting the radiator fan switch - it has 2 contacts so earthing is not required.
the adapter was drilled and tapped to take M14 sender.
