Hi All
I've purchased a couple of k&n bolt on filters for my newly fitted dellorto 40's, do i have to have ram pipes as well as filters?
Cheers

Or do what the do on many bike engines. Have 2 shorter ones on 1 and 4 cylinder and 2 longer ones on 2 and 3 cylinder. Helps balance out the
available torque.

To run a pair of webers or Dellortos without trumpets is like eating a cheese sandwich but without the cheese!!
Length and diameter does make a difference and running without any is worse as it corrupts the airflow over the aux venturi. This make for a difficult
car to calibrate the fueling on cruise and very low throttle openings.
Hope this helps

Here's some flow information, on my 45's I replaced open 60mm trumpets with 75mm K&N's, and 16mm trumpets, 0.5 bhp difference max
on the dyno.

No such thing I'm afraid, I bought 4 used off here for £25, then had to buy the other 2 new, £11 each didn't seem bad untill P&P and
VAT was added, just over £30.
