have i got this right?
does this look right?
Description
white box is the engine, dark blue is header tank with pressure cap, grey box is radiator, green box is fan, blue pipe is the lower hose, red one is
the top hose. grey bits in the pipes are alu hose joiners. wiggly green lines are wires for fan switch and temp gauge. black lines are the overflow
air bleed hoses.
so, does it look right?
going to order silicone hoses, the bottom hose i'm going to try the flexi wire reinforced stuff, its smooth bore inside, but they only do 30mm,
32mm, and 35mm, the connections on my engine are 34mm, so do i go 35mm as the bead is bigger than that, or go 32mm, not really knowing if the wire
reinforcment will stretch.
is there anything i've missed in the diagram?

is the engine a vauxhall xe by any chance ? if so you have it all ok apart from the breather in the top hose (thermostat area) is not needed the air
bleed on the radiator sorts that part out
also you need to blank the head at the rear if not running a heater

good man, i was hoping you'd say that some people say the head cooling is affected without the heater, but i've blanked it off just
made up a ali plate the same shape as the gasket and bolted it on.
as for the thermostat bleed thing, its easier to run it to the header really rather than blank it off. i did however blank off the one above the
alternator (the other end of the heater pipe)
and good guess on the engine, but its a XEV ecotec. kinda the same but different
dogwood, thats cool, pretty much the same as my plan, only you've got the manifold connected in, but you got the same air bled in the radiator
and thermostat, good times
