Hello everyone,
following my post about a rattling clutch, i decided to bite the bullet and remove the engine to sort it. unfortunately when i did i found that the above part was snapped off and sat on the input shaft. i was wondering if anyone had one spare.
i believe they were fitted to the following gearboxes

• Cortina Mk2
• Cortina Mk3 1.3/1.6/1.6GT
• Cortina Mk4/5 1.3, 1.6 (not GT)
• Lotus Cortina 69-
• Capri Mk1/2/3 1.6 OHC
• Capri Mk1 -8/72 1.6 OHV
• Capri Mk1 2.0 V4
• Sierra 1.6

2000E 'Bullet' Gearbox
• Cortina Mk1
• Lotus Cortina Mk1/2 -68
• Escort RS1600/Mexico
• Escort Twin Cam

please see picture in archive of the part i need

Hi, a few years back the courier delivering my cossie t5 box dropped it off the van staight onto the first motion shaft snapping the housing anyway as a new one wasnt available i cleaned it up and ran a nice bead of braze around it.
its only there to keep the thrust bearing central so its not loaded at all so if you can braze or know someone that can its a cheap and easy fix

Something else must be wrong -- I would advise you get another gearbox and check a spigot bearing is fitted in the end of the crankshaft.
