Polo radiator question
Just bought a mk2 polo radiator for my Luego.
I assume some sort of temp. sender unit screws into the end cap, mid way between the top and bottom hose outlets.
Can anyone confirm what fits ...a part number etc would be really usefull...I need to source something.

I can give you the CI part number (should be cross reference-able at good motor factors) ---C/IXEFS90 cost me £4.86+vat
Then you would need to get the sealing ring from Volks Wagen

I'm curous about this to?
If it is a sender what does it link to? I have a sender screwed into the engine block but I have to say I do have issues with innaccurate temp
readings.
If the temp sender in the rad is better it would save me a lot of grief.
Anyone?

The sender in the rad is the fan switch that turns the fan on at the desired temp. Part no. and the assosiated temps are in this

An engine temp sender in a radiator is not a good idea, if the thermostat in the engine sticks shut you will not now, the temp sender in the rad will
read cool as the engine temp goes through the roof

I've used the polo rad in a ZX9 BEC. I used a blanking plug.
The engine temp sensor should go in the engine , for reasons already mentioned re cooking block without knowing if thermostat fails to open.
The radiator fan does require a switch to control operation, which could be installed in the hole you are considering. Just check that the switch that
fits the hole has the right temperature switch point for the engine . (in my case bike engine runs at different temp to car switches I looked at.)
Ended up using an adjustable temperature switch with capilliary which we inserted into the rad top hose. Dearer at £25 but allows better control.

Reference the Thread...would the 50000 103-98C be right for my 2.0l Zetec Luego, knowing how they like to run hot.

This link seems to suggest the 50013 is the factory
part for a 2.0 zetec

It's for a fan switch/controller, the thread is M22 x 1.5

I'm also looking for a radiator for my Indy R.
Using the search function on LCB I have found 2 different part numbers : VW2038 and VW302.
According to Mr Google these 2 partnumbers have the same dimensions. Am I overlooking something ?

I bought a VW302 for my Luego recently, dimensions are 380 x 320 x 34 (strange metric millimetre things), fits lovely and very light compared to my
old one

The radiator Norfolkluego was told to get was the Polo MK2, which is what I bought...£35.95 on my door step via e-bay. Steve

Don't know but could it be something like the position of the inlet and outlet, mine are both on the left (looking forward from the engine bay,
perfect for a Zetec)
