V6 type 9 + spacer + Series 3 clutch does go!

Hi all,

Quick update following my last few posts on the problems I have had with my new gearbox and clutch actuation setup.

The final problem came down to the input shaft being even longer than expected on the v6 type 9, so that has now been shortened by ~8mm and it's all now working!

I'm really chuffed how well the landrover series 3 clutch hydraulics work, I modded the bellhousing to mount the slave and modded the arm to take the push rod. Action is really good de-clutches at ~40% of full travel. Total cost - £18 for the cylinders and £30 for the hose and banjos.

Just need to get on with the rebuild now...

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!
