MT75 gearbox help.

What are these two blanking covers covering?
Should there be anything in the holes they are covering?
My Haynes Sierra manual doesn't have the MT75 gearbox in it.
They are both at the prop flange end of the gearbox

Looking at the gearbox from the top, propshaft end.

On the right is the speedo drive.

On the left on some boxes is the electronic speed sensor.

Can I leave the blank plugs in or do I need to get the bits to block the holes up?
I am not using either as the speed sensor pickup is on the front wheel.

I think if you havn't yet passed IVA then the front wheel sensor wont be any good, as they test your speedo on a rolling road type thing, back wheel drive. And no you can't just leave the plastic blanks in as it will p**s oil out. HTH Ray

Car has passed SVA and is on an 07 plate. I have just bought the car and I'm going over the whole thing checking everything is where it should be and everything is tightened to the correct torque and come accross this.

I will have to get the bits from a scrappy to block off the holes.
