Exhaust noise
I currenetly have a Kawasaki ZX10R engine with a 4-2-1 exhaust and standard can from mac1motors.
My concern is its loud around 102db at best on trackdays.
Can any one recommend an exhaust that will be quieter but still retain the engine power?
I was looking at a caterham or westfield can as they are huge 7" diameter but pricey.

R1 cans are supposed to be very quiet and i think i still have mine in the garage if you are interested?
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

I found the R1 can quite restrictive compared with a straight though can. With straight through silencers, longer and wider = quieter. Get a bigger
one and sell your old one to offset the cost.
I made a 5" long 6" diameter silencer to fit between my manifold and existing can. It reduced the noise by 5 dB at 3/4 max revs.

CBS do a 7" can, which I have, and I can assure you it is quiet. I have both the 7" can and an R1 can, and the difference is staggering!

I'd be interested in who made the exhaust. Mine is a sodding nightmare (102 with a noise killer insert).
I've tried an R1 end can and I'm still getting around 101 - 102.
