GSX1200 silencer
I have just bought a bike silencer for my pinto very cheap. I have been assured that it will be OK for the sierra engine on here. One small thing bugs
me is the inlet is over 65mm wide, but the outlet is only 35mm - any ideas why?

It looks like a standard suzuki baffled exhaust can which has a reducer inside before the first plate.
I wouldnt think that it would be suitable for a larger capacity cec, would probably struggle & be too restrictive but maybe someone will be along
to prove me wrong?

I have a GSXR1000 can on my red top and the outlet is much bigger that that

My theory was that a 1200cc engine spinning at 12,000rpm would produce more gasses than a 1993cc engine spinning at 6000rpm. I presently have a
stainless silencer off a 1.9 TDI passat which is going very rusty!

The inlet end probably takes a bike cat.

Thats looks like a gsf1200 bandit can to me, They restrict the bike to 100bhp, add a race can to gain 15 bhp on the bike.
The original link pipe is double skinned with a large outlet without any cat.

I've got a gsxr can on my redtop as well. Are you going to make an adaptor plate for that flange ??? If so U2u me first I may be able to
help

Is it the outlet that does the restriction? If it is, I am pretty handy with a fine cold chisel!
