bike carb manifold
hi all, i have made a new bike carbs manifold and throught i would post some pics up here.
i made my own flange from some 6mm steel plate that i got from a mate of mine, which truned out like this:
homemade flange
then i got some gas pipe, turned down on a lathe from a bloke my dad and i know, for free, so that i can use the new carb rubbers i got, to make use
of the lip in the rubbers.
then i hand cut the gas barrel to the correct angles to get the from the head to the motor bike carbs, and then weld them up.
gas barrel

then had to hand cut the correct angle to angle the carbs up, to clear the chassis.
and attach the flange to the pipe.
pipe, and flange
pipe, and flange
finshed
new airfilter
new manifold and airfilter
and i got the angle wrong from the old manifold, so i was 30deg out so i had to buy a new air filter, and cut a bigger hole in the bonet.

but know i have made a alu ring to trim it up, so i matches the exhast side.
Description
hope this helps any one how plans to make there own manifold.
thanks

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Your manifold looks good and you can use the vacuum pipes to balance the carbs with a vacuum gauge
thats how i do mine
