Cable Hydraulic Clutch Question

Hiya Guys
Im just about to decide what todo, i have a hydraulic pedal box and hydraulic master cyclinder but am using a type 9 gearbox which was originally cable.

I have the option of just adapting my pedal box and having a cable system.
Or i have been told you can get some converter that attaches to the gearbox to make it hydraulic. I have done a bit of searching around but haven't really found much.

What have other people done? and does anyone have any links of sites who sell this "adaptor"

Any help appreciated, Thanks

Ed

Just have a cable on my type 9, most of the 'new' systems use a concentric cylinder behind the clutch release bearing, I am sure you could sort something out to do it that way. But I am in the process of converting a metro gearbox to hydraulic using a Willwood pull cylinder from Rally Design pt. no. 260-1333 and thinking it might be easy to use on a type 9?

I'm also going the pull-type slave route - my thinking being that a concentric cylinder would be expensive, difficult to fit and difficult to maintain.

On the other hand a cable is cheap, reliable and easy to change if it fails . Concentric cylinder is likely to be expensive, need an adaptor to mount to the gearbox and a lot of work to change if it fails. Pull type ram has some of the latter points as well.

I know someone who'd used the Wilwood-type pull cylinder on a Zetec/Type 9 combo and says it works well. Not in a Locost, but a Rover P6..

Edit: Just had a quick search through my emails and apparently works spot on with a 0.75" master cylinder.

This one was from southwestspeed, i think:
