Anyone know what diff this is??

Hi all and Happy new year. My first job of 2009 is change my diff. I have removed the old one and checked the code against the sticky but could not match it.

The code is 83 BG 4033 BA

There is another code D04BA

And FII/2

Does anyone know what diff this is?

Many thanks

Nathan

Where did you get the code from? Was it the little tag or have you picked a casting number from the case?

Thanks for the fast replies guys.

Wilkingj, as far as I know it is out of a Sierra

Howlor, the code was stamped on the back plate. The casting number was stamped on the case..

Coozer, will stick some pictures on when I get home tonight.

Cheers guys

Pictures added. Using Chris Gamlins excel sheet this appears to be a 3.9 or 4.1. Can it be reconditioned to a different ratio or am I better off selling it and buying another one. Any more ideas what it is and how much I could sell it for? Many thanks Rescued attachment IMG_0994.JPG
