Best place to get a Zetec exhaust manifold?

I was going to get one from er.... a supplier but was told at the last phone call 'there are a few issues at the moment, best look elsewhere' (no money had changed hands), where's the best place for my money to go, I've seen Westfield do them, anyone else and a bit cheaper wouldn't go amiss

If you can weld, I think Great British Sportscars do the cheapest. LINKY Bugger beaten to it.

Save your self some money and grief, get a decent one made for your car . I had loads of problems with my manifold from Lolocost/GBS and ended up getting one made from decent stainless. Not cheap but well happy with it. You get what you pay for?

Heres mine with a one fo 907's silencers. Depends how much eaxhaust you want to see.

I bought a GBS one, it will do the trick but in the end, it will be replaced. If you can, get a good one to start with and save yourself some grief

And probably gain yourself some power!! A decent tuned exhaust should be one of the cheapest ways to gain some power imho. As above from various people, spend a little extra and best to do it right first time around.

I ve read before that of the cheaper ones ( although how £300 can be called cheap) the westfield one is good for power - something to do with the collector I believe. Im building up to parting with the cash.

The Tiger downpipes are ok, but they still need a £120 collector!

That's why I don't really want to go with the Westfield one, don't want to start chopping bits out of the chassis, the GBS one goes over the top rail which is why I liked the look of that one but that's now off the shopping list

Mine seems to rely on slightly oval holes in order to line up on the head.

I think it needs some tweaking to line up properly.

I'm getting quoted some horrendous prices for making a stainless one up (over £500)

I'd say that's worse than the GBS one, at least there's is bent pipes not straight sections for you to weld together.

£500 seems about right for a custom one, i was quoted that for mine about 5-6 years ago.

Don't know about the Zetec manifold but if it's anything like their Xflow item then flanges so badly distorted the only way I could get it to seal against the head was to cut the flange plate into 3 separate pieces . Even then the manifold had to be bolted to a spare head with a couple of blocks of wood inserted so that the pipes could bend enough to get a seal . Flange not fully welded so that after managing to seal the flange I had to remove the manifold and reweld parts of it. Poor quality stainless that rusted almost as bad as mild steel . In it's defence it was cheap but you get what you pay for. Many thanks to Paul (907) for his excellant work making the new manifold.

If they are still around, try 'Tube engineering' - they were in Peterborough area and i got mine direct from them (about 3 or 4 years back) as they used to make them for old luego.
I payed very little for mine & the silencer, considering what old luego were charging with their mark up. The guy also polished it for me for a tenner extra
Very good to deal with too.
