Fitting a blacktop

Now, i may get boo-ed for this, but i am looking at fitting a blacktop zetec into a caterham SV chassis but have been informed that some caterham chassis' have an issue with a tube that fouls the waterpump on the blacktop.

Does anyone know anything about this. any info would be grand.

Cheers.

Don't know any caterham specifics, but here's a pic of a blacktop, might help. Rescued attachment zetec.jpg

I wouldn't have thought there would be a problem, the chassis is that little bit wider, Here is a pic of a duratec in a SV chassis.

Water pump looks in a similar place.

Excellent, thanks for the pic.

I could see if it was far enough forward there may be a problem, but i cannot imagine the zetec being any longer than a duratec.

I think you are refering to the thermostat housing coming in contact with the back of the engine bay, ive fitted a raceline water rail to get over this (see pic below)
