Great engine. Should give plenty of power (170 - 180bhp or so). You will need a bellhousing though to convert it for use with a type 9 gearbox.

like this one that has been on ebay previously

Well worth it if you can get the bits you need. First se7en i went out in was a Westfield with this engine back in 1999

Have a look through the SBD website for more info

I have an XE in my Leugo and the car is beautiful to drive, I'd recommend one anyday. The set up does cost a bit but I'd say it is worthwhile. The main expense was on:

clutch ~ £250
sump ~ £100
gearbox adapter ~ £150

other than that you'll need to sort out the fueling and timing but that will cost the same for whatever engine you use.

The engines are cheap though.

Good luck

Is that a hydraulic setup? All i've had to buy is a friction plate and a clutch arm (and a cable, but haven't got that far yet), not much over £50.

I can't remember (ie don't want to) exactly how much it was but because the plate, cover and bearing were from 3 different cars it worked out very costly.

here's mine:

can't argue with 200hp with no internal mods.
