I'm going to start to fit a Zetec into the Striker and in order to save a few pennies I was hoping it would be possible to use the old exhaust.
On the picture below I have placed a cardboard cut-out of a Zetec manifold plate above the X-flow exhaust. The ports don't line up properly. Is
it possible for someone with better welding skills than me to slightly bend the old manifold pipes to fit the Zetec engine?
Thanks James
don't know if the photo attachment has worked but it is here as well

What's the diameter of the tube ?
I ask, because I had the same idea as you when I switched from Kent to Zetec, but the manifold headers were much smaller diameter than the ports on
the head...
Just had a look and compared it to another Zetec manifold (which won't quite fit) and the headers are as near as dammit exactly the same size. I might try a local exhaust builder and see what they can bodge together - its got to be cheaper than a new system.
Like this.

This is a zetec on a tweaked lolocost xflow exhaust in Big Stu's car.
Check his archive for a couple more pics.

From the other side...
CVH manifold can be fitted to the Zetec sometimes Westie CVH manifolds appear on eBay.
Thanks guys. The photos have been quite helpful.
Seabass - how did you bend the pipes? Brute force and ignorance or something more subtle like a blow torch?
Trident - thanks.
I didn't - it's not my car lol. I think Stu got out the 'gas' to assist him bend them. Not sure if he posts on here anymore...
