I got myself a nice shiny new header tank today, but now its turned up I have noticed it has not got a pressure cap on it,its a screw in type. The rad is sealed also so I would not have any pressure release buit in.Has anyone got any ideas how I can get around this as I would like to use the new tank now I have bought it,and its nice and compact so will be easier to mount.
Depends on what thread is on the screw cap...
I've just bought a 17psi cap for my header tank off ebay (RS Turbo one - £0.99) and it is fine.

You can buy an inline 'T' that has a radiator cap fitting on one leg that allows you to fit a cap........

Most current tin tops have screw on presure caps. There are several thread sizes. Are you sure its not for one of these.
