That should fair shift then!
Not sure if you've seen this but it might be worth doing at some point

Linky: Cam cover Breather Mod

I've got the engine in a FWD layout and it even had to be modified slightly for that.

P.S With Bike carbs (and maybe 45's if jetted correctly) your looking at 180BHP and with TB's you'd be looking at 200BHP

SBD cam mod already done

180 bhp!! hmmmmmm like the sound of that!

think I will start saving for throttle bodies next!!!

Confused but excited. - 25/9/07 at 09:58 PM

Looks like you have done a really nice job on the mill mate!

Yea!!

Proper engine!!!!

I run one at the mo, 45mm jenvey throttle bodies, mbe 956 ecu, 176hp @ wheels, 204 @ flywheel on std cams etc.

good for 0-60 in under 4 secs and top end good enough to need a full screen, stones hurt at 120mph so I've not been quicker yet as my eyes start to run too much as well!!

gregf27 - 26/9/07 at 04:33 PM

Cheers fellas -it is indeed a proper engine!!!

I even spent the time with a drill and needle file to put "F27" on the heatshield
whilst I saved up for parts!!! no lasers or plasma cutters for me! very locost too!!!

Went to a local autograss meet the other week and saw a bloke in his "special" with a redtop fitted to it - he won every round!!
even beat a twin bike engined one , and an american v8 powered one!!!!
was a good race mind!!!

my lad wants to start racing now!!
dunno where he gets it from!

My old grasser (the one in my avatar) which was XE 16v, 200hp, used to kick the ass of v8 cars at most meetings.

I have never beaten a twin bike car that was running properly though!!

Its addictive by the way, once you've watched it, you'll be building a car next!
