Can I just araldite it back on in the same place (clearly marked) or is it more technical than this?

Your lucky still to have the weight and do you trust the glue to hold it?? If it were me i'd drill a hole in it and then puddle weld it to the shaft and dress back flat so the weight was the same again
yea weld it back on, a tack each end will do it or puddle weld, either way
i take it you was'nt thrashing it when it came off, mine did at cadwell and the rear uj exploded at the top of the mountain

Fortunately the prop didn't let go - just a weight came of.
Did notice this morning that the prop adaptor at the front had come loose as well!
