Some engines (e.g. A-series) have something similar under the rocker cover bolts...?
yeah but i only got two... the rocket cover and the sump bolts have their own washers
Rocker cover bolts, but the two that are on the sides of the arch piece that goes over the front of the cam shaft. they are the only place on a pinto
that has a metal washer with a rubber face on one side. This is to allow for slight vertical movement of the cover as the gasket is compressed.
Hope this helps.
i think that might make sense.. but again, those specific bolts have their own rectangular washers too...
maybe they're not meant for the pinto... or the year of my pinto??
