Heatwrap how to apply
tks - 25/5/07 at 08:19 PM

Evening..

I wondered how to apply the exhaust wrap... does it need to be damp/wet??

Or is it just a question of bandaging it...

to secure the wrap i will use some stainless steel straps

regards

I put mine on damp/wet and they tightened up nice under heat.

I gave up with the SS tie wraps as removal means new ones, i decided on jubilee clamps so they are re usable.

I'm sure there is a pic in my archive

It is supposed to be fitted wet as it gives a tighter fit. I have tried both wet and dry and agree that wet definitely gave a better, tighter fit. Dry has stayed on OK though with no problems.
