Which bike carbs would be suitable for my 1700cc Crossflow?
I spoke to Nigel(cryoman1965) at Stoneleigh and he suggested a list, but i've both drank and slept since and forgotten.
I ideally need level float chambers and a Tps.
ATB Dan.
You need sidedraught carbs rather than semi-downdraught. Oil-cooled GSXR750 or even Bandit 600 will be as big as you'll ever need.
Bandit 1200 carbs.
36 mm, virtually level float bowls and a TPS already supplied.
They will do the trick nicely.
Mine are Suzuki GSXR 750 wn carbs , they are not too inclined which means they dont have to poke out of the bonnet.
As mentioned above Suzuki bandit carbs are nearly level.

I've got R6 ones on mine, usually very cheap to get hold of as well

What about a fuel pump? I've only ever used the standard mechanical pump on my pinto with a DGAS but I'm going to bike carbs - will that work or do I need an alternative pump?
I used an R6 fuel pump as well, very easy to wire into a premier loom and also very cheap,,, choke size on the carbs is 36mm , optimum for a x/flow i
believe.
Here's a pic of the pump before it was installed

Sorry about the mess behind it, it isn't as bad now
