Just pricing up hose for R1. Seems like there is quite a premium to be paid for Samco hose. Anyone used siliconhoses.com for pipework? Does seem a fair bit cheaper.
I used these - very happy with them, and it is very flexible, which is what I needed to clear the engine cradle!

Steve.
It's something I fancy doing on my R1 - I've just not gotten round to sitting and figuring out which angles I need to complete the installation properly.
If they were so good why do cars not have them fitted as standard, to that matter bikes either.
For high heat/pressure then yes, for water hoses a waste of money IMHO.
Bling bling bling
cars go the cheapest way they can think of...
Tks
Use Gates hoses from your local motor factor. Cheap as chips and it won't clash with your paintwork
Silicon hoses look good if you like that sort of thing, no-one sees them anyway under the bonnet. Ive fitted them, dont believe they are value for
money on a performance basis for a basic cooling system. for me it was an almost off the shelf set up from mac#1 so i basically paid the money for the
thought and design that went into it so i didnt have the hassle.
Agree with Razman, you cant go wrong with Gates hoses.
No.
Ask yourself, did I spend in excess of £ 100 pounds blinging out with silicone hose or did I pay £ 8 for a can of blue plasticote paint from Frosts,
well did I?
