After pretty much finally deciding that I will have to rebuild the old smoker P6 RV8 I have, a tiny local paper add turned this up.
Brand new block, built and blueprinted by a reputable local engine builder 10+ years ago for a stillborn racing car project. Never been started, still
with assembly lube inside. Oversize valves, gas flowed heads, roller rockers, dry sump, even came with the dry sump pump bits. Unfortunately somebody
has pinched the lifters and pushrods, but it did came at the right price.
An invoice with the engine shows the intake manifold cost 127 UKP from RPI in 1995!

Engine looks fantastic and well prepared..
I would just be carefull of that paint on the timing cover.. I could be wrong but it looks like some paint has been allowed to go inside the dizzy
hole. If it flakes over time it could end up blocking oil feed holes...
Just a thought looking at the pics.
Paul.

No disrespect (looking at your car) but the paint will be going!

nice one fred, when finished you'll have to do a top gear style epic road trip to the uk, how about stoneleigh next year? I'm sure enough
people on here could put you up en route
Ned.
Nice idea Ned, but it would be a hell of a long way to go with 80 mm ground clearance
Plus it's a lot of work to go yet:
finish body pattern
make body molds
make body
mount body on proto chassis
make real suspension
make real chassis
build up car for real
get it on the road
so more like 2 to 3 years to go?
Cheers
