If you want a customisable ignition map then Megajolt is the obvious way to go but be ready for a fair bit of fiddling - oh and it won't be fitted and running in about 20 minutes

i want to change my pinto points to an electronic system can any one recommend a setup?
The Aldon Ignitor is a cheap and easy way to do this.

Hi Mark on points in the dizzy . all electric they modify the dizzy and provide a new coil when i got mine it was £100+vat

As soon as i road test megajolt install i will be selling my electronic ignition set up. It is the std Sierra electronic, based on a brand new dizzy
(now only done 3,500 miles). I have the wiring, coil, leads, new dizzy cap and rotor arm fitted etc. U2U me if interested and we will work out a
price.
Just depends if you want std electronic or a modified dizzy set up like what Jacko suggests.

You need to have a look at an Ignitor -my car was vastly improved when I binned the points and put the ignitor in - an I haven't had to look at
it since

Mark i have a modifed dizzy fitted why do i need another ? its fully electric

the ignitor just replaces the points - it goes in your existing dizzy. It has no effect on the advance curve, but it does give a better spark and
better starting, it doesn't go out of adjustment or wear out like points do.

Steve - Car ticks over and revs very well. Havent had chance to road test yet as ive decided to take front suspension to bit to paint up some scabby

Mooky - i thought Jackos dizzy didnt have points. I seem to recall it is an electronic dizzy with modified advance curve (no vacuum). His earlier post
said 'on points', i think it should have been typed 'no points'. Might be wrong though.

I was thinking on different lines here,i used the Bosch electronic dizzy and this amp.
