Thanks to those who witnessed my crisis of having grave doubts about my v6 engine.
Due to all the responses and suggestions which were great help, I have now got round all the problems I was having and I'm sticking with the v6
after all.
Special thanks to Liam and his steering system, I hadn’t even considered routing it like that, which is what I will be doing myself. That is also one
hell of a chassis.
Reminds me of what this site is all about
Cheers, Scott.
therse always a way richie
indeed Eddie, with help from your friends...
now lets go burn something.
If charlie broomfield can get THAT engine in a lickle rover, we don't want any talk of giving up where a titchy V6 into a locost is concerned,
now do we . Although that petrol tank is another matter all together
Seriously, stick with it, it's fun being different.
Al.
Hi Scott, thought this might interest you, one I did earlier, Ray.
Engine in and bolted down.
Also shows how I got over the steering problem, but I have used the
sierra rack.
Thanks guys,
Looking at you picture though Ray, it does look like your chassis is quite a bit wider than mine...nether the less your steering gear is as per how
I'm now going about it. So simple really, I just got it fixed in my head that I had to run through the conventional route that I blinded myself
to any other approaches. Probably working to hard…
Or I could put it down to having run out of coffee, again.
