Its not fitting to the engine that is the worry its getting it all inside the cars bodywork so it will exit at a convenient point.

Xflow or pinto?

If pinto i very much doubt it.

The Mk5 was a Pinto - so at least it exits the right side. Not seeing the flange, it's difficult to tell.

Problem is if its a car manifold it wont have enough length to exit straight out of the bodywork. I looked at fitting a Cortina or sierra std cast manifold in my early stages of build and steering bars and brake m cylinder were mighty close.

What is the manifold from?

Ive seen this on ebay. Looks like its designed to fit the cast sierra manifold (see shape of the flange and the 2 downpipes). Should in theory be easy to fit if you dont have the side panels on yet - ie fit engine, manifold and downpipe, offer side panel up and mark out where side exit hole needs to be. You would probs then remove exhaust, fit side panel then refit the exhaust. Feel free to check the sanity of this first tho'.

We just need to confirm that the Sierra cast manifold will fit the 1.6 cortina head. When i was looking at locost options im sure it was a 1.6 cast manifold (single outlet) that fitted OK on the Sierra 2.0 Pinto so im pretty certain you should be OK. Sierra manifold, so im told, has better flow than the earlier Cortina types.
