im about to order my pipercross foam domed air fillter and i want it to stick through my bonet but im not sure how far. has any body please got any pics of foam filters sticking through the bonet?

there you go, start small and gradually make the hole bigger until you get the size and shape you want. Just make sure you leave about 10-20mm all round to allow for engine movement.

Great, im going to get my base plate and pipercross filter orderd right away. just wasnt too sure how far to have it sticking out thats all. your car looks great! you dont think i will have any issues at SVA do you?

Thanks, your SVA should be OK, just watch the inspector doesn't decide the dzus fasteners on the air filter are too sharp (like they would be !).

I didn't SVA mine like this, I had weber 45's and K&N filters sticking out of the side of the car. SVA man didn't say anything about them.

Cheers, just sold it to my housemate, was the most mint its been since I bought it. Keep on seeing it on the drive way and miss driving it, it was so chuckable and gripped like anything.

Got a Mondy ST24 to use as a tow car now.
