What's the best to use.. pro's and con's please.
1.5mm or 3mm thick, 25 or 50mm wide?
how much do I need for a blade manifold?
cheers
Colin
ive used both 25 and 50mm, i think the 25 is better for going round corners. Ive never come across different thicknesses though. You want 50% overlap
with each time round.
Theres quite a lot of technique involved tbh, working out where best to start and how to secure it all neatly.
Ok...thanks Joel...
About 5m of 25mm should do the trick if you are only going to the inner edge of the side panel. You need 4 jubilee clips to finish and some wire to start...
I used 65' of 1" wide to do my 4-2-1 X-flow manifold. It needed a lot more than anticipated, the aim was to have approx 1/2 tape width
overlap but in reality this was more like 3/4 overlap to get complete coverage, especially over the collectors and the tighter bends. Got a feeling it
may be more difficult with wider tape.
It was secured with st.st loccking wire.
