point of some contention this. The cheapest i found was this:

and they are definately cheaper than the usual places.

BTW, ive used that proven products place, and it is good stuff

However, industrial insulation or marine chandlery places are meant to be cheaper. But i googled it and couldn't find any

i havent used it as yet, so cant comment on it, but it looks good to me.

Looks like you get 15' of it - do you think that will be enough for your exhaust? Also will you need to buy extra clips?

I used 65' of 1" wide to do my 4-2-1 X-flow manifold. It needed a lot more than anticipated, the aim was to have approx 1/2 tape width overlap but in reality this was more like 3/4 overlap to get complete coverage, especially over the collectors and the tighter bends. Got a feeling it may be more difficult with wider tape.

It was secured with st.st loccking wire.

I bought my wrap from thinkautomotive in isleworth,http://www.thinkauto.com

I got about 5 metres of the 3mm thick 50mm wide in white for around £8 and had about half a metre spare.

I fixed with jubillee clips in the end as they are re usable,or even better you can get a roll or kit to make up your own size from most good ironmogers.

You can make it a bit more tidy by overlapping the ends so they dont frey,but tidy isnt me really and functional will do

to be honest, i hadnt given much thought as to how much of the tape i will need, i would imagine 15' would be ok, as i only want it under the bonnet, and not to see it from the outside of the car. im going to use jubilee clips all round as i already have some spares lying about.

i used 15 metres on my manifold (home made 4-2-1), id be suprised if 15' would cover much.

wrapping two pipes together doesnt really work well.

Your right joel,it doesnt go far. I used nearly 5 metres to do the 4 outlets under the bonnet as in the pics.
