Ford Geabox MT75 mounting bolt pattern
marksimon - 13/5/05 at 05:07 PM

Hi,

Does anyone have details of the mounting bolt pattern or some picture of the mounting face of the Ford MT75 gearbox to a Ford engine?

I am hoping someone has sometime created a template to mount the gearbox to something.

Alternatively can anyone give me a clue as to whether the MT75 gearbox can be mated up to the Jaguar V6 engine (which I believe has a similar block to the Duratec V6)?

I've come across the attached picture of the gearbox as used on the Jaguar. This is a schematic of the gearbox as viewed from the back of the box. Can anyone answer me as to whether the MT75 box has a similar mounting face?

(Edited to have smaller image)

Thanks in advance.

Mark

As far as i know anything under the duratec name is mazda so you might want to investigate thier bellhousing bolt pattern.

I'm not quite sure what your after but if it is bolt pattern then as all ford stuff is the same up until the duratecs so type 9 4/5 speed will be the same as mt75 & give you an idea.

There was a company profile in fast ford a while ago of a firm that specialised in using v6 duratecs in different applications. They would have the info you need I expect. I'll 'try' and see if I can find the issue.

Sorry not to be more specific.

Cheers

Hi G,

You are right in thinking that I am after the mounting bolt pattern.
If you or others come across the company profile in Fast Ford I'd really appreciate it as I am struggling to find out details of the Ford mounting bolt pattern.

Take care.
