Probably a simple one but could anyone tell me where the engine number is on SOHC Pinto 2.0

Cheers

Does OHM6015 B-A sound about right?

That sounds like block markings to me.

The engine number is on a flatened piece of block in the position mentioned earlier, mine is two letters and five numbers and are stamped on.
The letters and numbers stamped are about 6mm in height and the flatened area is roughly about 25mm in height and 80mm long.

There might well be a pic of an engine number in a haynes manual if you have one just to give you a guide of the area to look in.

no problem, sometimes a bit of chalk along the numbers helps to read them
