Following on from my recent posting re Metro 1.3cc clutch slave cylinder luckily one of our members has got one for me. However, I also need the bracket and the lever. Looking on the web I see that there are two types, standard and verto are they interchangable or if not any ideas what the difference is?
Presuming we are talking about a metro with an A series engine, a verto type clutch has the slave cylinder mounted on the wok ( clutch cover) with a
short actuating arm, the earlier non verto clutch has the slave cylinder mounted on the drop gear housing with a long actuating arm. If you have a
verto clutch you cannot just change the arm and bracket to non verto you have to change the flywheel/pressure plate and back plate and vice versa.

A series metro, early hydraulic long arm
late (verto) cable operated.
main short/long arm slave cylinder diffrence return spring and tab mounted on long arm
verto short arm with custom slave mounting bracket (note adjustable push rod and redundent stop bolt).
i dont see why a long arm would not operate a verto cluch with an adjustable push rod (or the old trick of heating and bending the arm) i intend to
fit one at some point.

Thanks for your help, all is now clear. If you want to know something ask a Locost member.
I've got an A+ verto short arm and slave mounting bracket if you need one.
