CVH Cooling Diagram

Hi All,

I am trying to plumb up my CVH, but i'm slightly amiss of where everything should go.
I've done an incredible drawing as below of where i think things should go.

The only thing i'm unsure of is where i should plumb in the inlet manifold connection.

Any pointers appreciated!

Cheers,
Andy

Forgot that i also have two small pipes for the coolant controlled choke mechanism to be hooked up somewhere as well!

Hi,

What engine - 1600 or 1800?

Looking at my CVH 1800 strip down photos, the Thermostat housing is bolted to the inlet manifold,
forward hole. This unit has a smaller pipe which connects to the middle choke housing connector.

I think the other choke housing connector connects to the car heater and that connects to
a T piece on the other side of the engine that goes to the radiator / engine.

The second paragraph may not be exact as it is not clear in my photos, so someone may correct me.

I think both 1600 and 1800 may be the same in these areas, the main difference is that the 1800 inlet manifold
has something to do with the water at it's rear while the 1600 deals with it in the centre area.

It's a 1600.
Your choke setup seems similar, not sure about the other pic.

Still doesn't make me too sure of where everything is supposed to go though!

On the 1600 thermostat housing there should be 3 pipes.
Main 32mm hose when thermostat open to top of rad.
Small 8mm top breather hose to header tank.
Medium 16mm bottom hose is the bypass pipe. You should link this one to your auto choke, then from the choke back into the bottom hose.
